Hi, Welcome to my kitchen.

Have a seat, take your shoes off and get comfortable. May I bring you a drink? I hope you will enjoy your visit here.

Cooking is a hobby of mine. When I really want to relax I head to the kitchen and start playing.

This will be the section where I share original recipes with you. Some created by me and some sent in by you, the reader. All I ask is that any recipes you send me be your own creations and not from a cook book. If you would like to be me to let you know when I add new recipes, please sign the guest book below.

The recipes I create are not, for the most part, intended for novice cooks. I don't measure any thing, I just dump it together and hope it works. However if you are a novice cook, please stop by and check as the recipes that are sent in may have measurements.

If you wish to print any recipe in black and white with no graphics, click the title. A separate window will pop up and you will be able to print a copy. Please wait for the Yahoo/Geocities ad in the top right corner to shrink. After you have printed it, you can close the window and continue exploring.
My newest recipe is quite a change from my usual. I was tired of all the BBQ sauces that are tomato based so, as is normal for me, I started playing in my kitchen. The biggest change? I incuded measurements, most likely that will never happen again.

Granny's BBQ Sauce

Ingredients:
1 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. basalmic vinegar, 1/2 c. white vinegar, 1/2 c. molasses, 3/4 tsp. liquid smoke, 1 Tblsp. hot horseradish*, 1 tsp. dry mustard, 1/2 tsp crushed garlic.

Preparation:
Combine all the ingredients in a sauce pan.

Cooking:
Slowly bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from stove immeadiately.

To use:
After it has cooled just brush on your meat. This is good as a BBQ sauce for pork, beef, and chicken. I have not tried it on lamb. I have added it to beans when I made baked beans, yummy (equal parts BBQ sauce and water).

Any unused portion can be stored in the referigerator in a covered glass container. If you do a lot of BBQing, you might want to double the amounts.

*Do not use creamy horseradish.
