Reaching out to touch your hearts
Even thou we were miles apart
I made two friends you see that day
When you invited me to stay.
You made your way into my heart
This must be how a friendship starts
I was not sure what I would find
But our friendship gave me piece of mind.
My heart was surly to be blessed
I hoped I would be the perfect guest
Oh what would we do if we were wrong
No need to worry our friendship proved strong.
As I sit here this cold night
I recall all the beautiful sights
So many dreams did you make come true
The best thing of all is our friendship shone through
We grew so close with each passing day
Oh my friends I wanted to stay
The quiet voice within my heart
Whispered softly that we must part.
I made a promise on that day
When I had to walk away
No matter how many miles apart
I will keep you forever in my heart.
There is love beyond these words I write
A valued friendship shining bright
Listen my friend's to my heart and soul
