Philonski's Absolutely Indispensable Dictionary of Alike Things
You won't know how you spoke English without it.
Guadeloupe
Guadeloupe is a country. I don't know where it is, but then my geography is not very good. Perhaps the map below will help you in this respect. Apparently, Guadeloupe is the world's leading exporter of marrows, stained glass windows and boxing gloves, although I may have just made that up. It belongs to France, but I don't know why. "Guadeloupe" (country) should not be confused with "cantaloupe" (fruit).
Cantaloupe
A cantaloupe is a medium-sized, oval-ish fruit with a smooth orange skin. A close relative of the mango and the pomegranate, the cantaloupe is a favourite among parrots and wildebeest the world over. I have been told on several occasions that it is in fact a type of melon, but this is incorrect. (For more definitions of words other people get wrong, see eccle.) "Cantaloupe" (fruit) should not be confused with "antelope" (animal).
Some mangoes.
I couldn't find a picture of a cantaloupe that didn't look like a melon.
Antelope
An antelope is an animal.
