Sinclair Barbour
Sinclair started dancing with Bill Clement at Wallace Hall Academy and then at Edinburgh University. On returning home, he took over the Thornhill class from Bill. He taught in Japan in 1998 on a trip with Bob Grant and also taught at the Belfast Weekend School in 1999. Sinclair is currently working at home on a hill sheep farm in Dumfriesshire, Scotland. He still teaches at Wallace Hall Academy and has taken teenage teams to folk festivals abroad for the past 4 years. He states that he was delighted when asked to be the Washington Branch representative to the RSCDS and equally delighted to have been asked to come to Washington to teach! "I look forward at last to meeting you all!" |
