Many different companies manufacture clarinets. Of course, your price will vary according to manufacturer and quality of the instrument, ranging from $7,000.00 to around $200.00 .

Excellent professional-level clarinets are available in the United States by Buffet, Leblanc, Selmer, and Yamaha, the instrument most used by professionals being the Buffet. Intermediate models include the Selmer Signet, the Evetter, Henken, Noblet and Normandy. Student models, often made of resonite (plastic), include the Selmer Bundy, the Vito and Evette, and models made by Henkin, Artley and Yamaha. When combined with good mouthpieces, student models can give surprisingly good results.
