The scorching heat bearing down on us
Brief, interrupted winds blowing from Heaven
Picturesque landscapes marred by human intervention
Walking through this hidden forest glen.
The path began really short
It was of the usual sort
Everything was fine and dandy
There were always bathrooms handy.
Life went on in the puppet world
The plots and cunning went unfurled.
However, as we walked further in
Nature opened its mighty hands
It invited us in for something more
It invited us to its God-blessed lands.
The choice was made then
It was as simple as plain reality
For us, Nature was what we sought
A chance for rejuvenated vitality.
With that very first step in, the world blew away
We stepped into a world full of bright vivacious hues
Reds, oranges, yellows, all filled the world bright
Even the blues, the sky was painted in bright blues
Unlike the ones within our very hearts and souls
This blessed world put together within our heart the clues.
The keys to all understanding and happiness
Which had been rattling around inside of us
Were let loose and utilized in the true world
A world that showed a life without the fuss
The gods of Olympus surrounded us with orders
From up high to go back to Earth without the cuss.
Make our lives better, show others the way
Show the world how much better it can be
If they would release the evil within their hearts
And make a brighter world like this for all to see
And so we returned, changed but still whole
To the world we once knew, yet abhorred.
Now, filled with a purpose, we stepped from the trees
And into the shallow group that was now bored.
They couldn't imagine the beauty witnessed
Their minds couldn't comprehend the change
They had seen nothing while it was in front of them
It's my job to change them, to widen their range.
To see the world as it truly is
Not as it seems on magazines or T.V.
Still, it's like trying to halt a wave
Trying to teach them just how to be free.
