I Don't Care
By: Jerry Landry

Leave me for another,
I don't care.
My peace of mind
I am well aware
Will suffer not in your absence.
I don't care.

A time there was
When it would have mattered.
Before I had been broken,
Left bruised and battered.
So many years have passed
When it would have mattered.

I'm stronger than you know,
That much should be clear.
You Know little about me
Or what I hold to be dear.
You're the one who will suffer
That much should be clear.

Leave if you be foolish,
Drown in your own stupidity.
Anyone else would cherish me
But not you, in your absurdity.
I wish you the best as you
Drown in your own stupidity.

Take heed of my words,
I don't care.
And no one else should
If stupidity pervades their love fair.
I've found strength in myself, and
I don't care.
