"WINDSOR IS THE BEST PLACE WE'VE EVER PERFORMED!!!"

*That's probably what Alan was thinking to himself when this picture was taken.  Or, it could have been that he was just singing "Excursion Around the Bay, HEY!"  Whatever.

I made my mom wake up at 5:00 am so we could get Great Big Sea tickets.  She was not too impressed, but agreed, because she and my dad are fans, too.  It turns out, however, that when we got down there shortly after 5:00, we were the only people there!!!  So we got the best seats.  Alright.  They saved the 1st row for comps, but we got 2nd row centre.  How sweet-ass is that?  Pretty damn sweet-ass.

Since we were in the centre, all my pix are of Sean and Alan.  You can almost see Darren in the picture above.  Almost.  Something cool: their first single from Road Rage - Everything Shines - was recorded at this concert.  My parents say they can hear me screaming at the end of the song.  I can't hear it. Hey... does this mean I've done a recording with Great Big Sea?

Yup.  We met Alan.  He came out after the concert to meet the handful of fans that stuck around.  We got CD covers signed, and he even signed my programme.  I would have proposed marriage, but he looked pretty tired, so I thought I'd save it for the next concert. I also thanked him for dedicating Boston to St. John's to me.  He said "This one is for the fairest one of all."  Isn't that romantic?

Alan with my mom and my sister.  My mom looks HYPER, my sister looks elated, and Alan looks... Vaguely amused? I don't know. I think he's probably ready for bed, and maybe a little uncomfortable with my mom's groping him.

Freud would call this picture "POST-CONCERTUS SYNDROME."  Why?  Because post-concertus we feel a euphoria due to what we have just experienced, but at the same time we feel sadness because the concert is over. Oh, but it was good.

GREAT BIG SEA WILL RETURN.  AND WHEN THEY DO, I'LL HAVE TO SLEEP WITH THE ROADIES TO GET THE FRONT ROW, THIS TIME!!!!
