Upcoming Workshops

TRANCE & TECHNO!

Sundays 18th/25th October
10:30-11:30 am
Aerobics Room, UWA Sport & Recreation Centre

Learn how to freestyle club dance! Explore space, find new rhythms, discover new moves and develop a new freedom. Beginners to advanced - as long as you enjoy moving!

Our teacher is Melissa from Pure Motion Dance. Melissa recently choreographed a street dance routine for the club.

Love Parade

The European Studies Club are holding a parade on Friday 16th October inspired by Berlin's Love Parade. We'll be performing Watch Me in the Tavern. Also, those who want will walk in the parade. Help create the festival atmosphere!

If you would like to learn "Watch Me" (an easy street dance), help with costumes or walk in the parade, then:

Call Nicki on 9384-2341.

Our Recent Performances

Raffles Ball - Quintessence (13th September, 1998)

Several members were part of the final number in this exclusive event at the Burswood Theatre. The 5-part set (called Dimensions) was choreographed by world reknowned choreographer Luis Moreno. The dimensions idealised were those of Traffic, Fear, Love, Life and Dance.

Of the 12 performers, 7 were from Dance! UWA: Katherine, Marlaina, Melissa, Sinead, Stephanie, Gintaras and Hawk. The extravagant costumes (just wait for the photos) were provided by Luis' collegue, Thomas.

Chung Wah Assoc. Ball - Licence To Thrill (28th August, 1998)

The club was asked to prepare a show to open the night. Therefore, several members collaborated to choreograph a Bond medley made up of Goldeneye, Live And Let Die, and the Bond Theme.

Guild Extravaganza @ UWA Tav (21st August, 1998)

Since we are a guild club, why not take part in the celebrations!? The Friday afternoon marked the end of a whole week of activities. Dance! UWA performed a street dance ("Watch Me") choreographed by Melissa. Other dancers: Emma, Gintaras, Katherine and Nicki.
