Martuljek & Spik

Martuljek is a small quiet tourist place near Kranjska Gora and is part of Triglav's national park.
There is a small ski slope and a ski museum. Above Martuljek there is one of the most picturesque mountain chain in Julijske Alps -  Martuljek mountain chain - and mountain Spik (which has a shape of a piramid) is the most distinctive mountain of this mountain chain. Here you can see also two waterfalls and two basins.

Part of Martuljek is covered by alpine wood constituted by beech tree and Anemone trifoliae-Fagetum. Higher the high above the sea level, higher the percentage of coniferous trees in this wood.

In the winter time there is made a cross-country ski path going from Martuljek to Kranjska Gora and further to Planica and Tamar.
