Hallowed be Thy Name,
Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be Done,
On Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread,
And Forgive Us Our Trespasses
As We Forgive Those Who Trespass Against Us.
Lead Us Not Into Temptation
But Deliver Us From Evil
For Thine Is The Kingdom, The Power, And the Glory
Forever and Ever.
Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace
Taking this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your Will;
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life
And supremely happy with You forever in the next.
Many people spend their days in anger and aren't aware of it.
The conditions of work and life make many of us angry; we feel powerless to change them, and our frustration angers us more...
If we examine our lives fearlessly, we may find many things that are in our power to change.
Since we cannot change, or do not choose to change some things, we'd do well to accept them, instead of spinning our wheels in unproductive anger or turning the anger in, against ourselves.
And when we summon the courage to change the things we can, our lives will bless us.
AND LET IT BEGIN WITH ME!
Everybody loves them. . .
Nobody cares how fat they are. . .
The older they get the more they're worth. . .
because we have walked
a special walk together
because you matter to me
because we are friends
because you have given
me courage
because I care
and I love you.
Two different lives shaped to make yours one.
One became your guiding star.
The other became your sun.
The first gave you life
And the second taught you to live in it.
The first gave you a need for love
And the second was there to give it.
One gave you a nationality.
The other gave you a name.
One gave you the seed of talent;
The other gave you an aim.
One gave you emotions.
The other calmed your fears.
One saw your first sweet smile;
The other dried your tears.
One gave you up - it was all that she could do.
The other prayed for a child,
And God led her straight to you.
And now you ask me through your tears
The age old questions through the years;
Heredity or Environment - which are you the product of?
Neither my darling - neither,
Just two different kinds of love.
For all the Roses in my life.

We don't all get the same experiences, the same lessons....

"For the Children and Young At Heart"
Am I meeting this situation in this moment, or am I letting the past govern me?
Am I acting or reacting?
Sometimes we fear big things like serious illness or death, or that someone we love will come to harm.
It keeps us from doing foolish things sometimes, but too much fear can also keep us from doing what we need for our growth.
And we will, and the fear will vanish.
The first step in dealing with fear is to take action -- either by tackling what we fear ourselves, or by asking for help.
Each time we face our fear, we gain strength, courage and confidence in the doing.
each of us feel awkward, shy, perhaps even ugly or dumb part of the time.
If we could understand that about each other, it would make it easier for us to be friendly and willing to talk to someone new.
Even those who are the most popular suffer the same fears as the rest of us.
The better we understand the ways we are the same, the easier it will be to make friends with someone new.
Friends make life bearable!
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you'd like to win, but you think you can't, it's almost a cinch you won't.
If you think you'll lose, you're lost.
For out in the world we find success begins with a person's will.
It's all in the state of mind.
If you think you're outclassed, you are.
You've got to think high to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself before you can ever win a prize.
Life's battles don't always go to the stronger or faster person.
Sooner or later the person who wins is the one who thinks he can.
