FORTNER ANDERSON

Montreal-based artist Fortner Anderson is one of the giants of Canadian spoken word poetry. His work has been featured on the spoken word record label Wired on Words and published in Poetry Nation and the Short Fuse anthology. His CDs are sometimes I think and the brand new six silk purses.

Fortner hosts a spoken word poetry radio show on CKUT FM (Radio McGill), and he has performed at events across Canada and the world, including the Banff Centre, the Rivoli (Toronto), and St-Mark¹s Church (New York). In 2002, he was invited to the Genoa International Poetry Festival in Italy. In 2004, he featured at Montreal's Festival Voix D'ameriques and Monde Parallèlle in France.e.
