I love the flowers that fill the gladsome day And birds that trust in God's providing way I listen to the prayer-enchanted brook That flows to many seas through shaded nook I trace the vagrant clouds that pass like life, Some clear and others filled with hidden strife. I love cool rains accented by its tears For growing plants and freshening up the years; I love soft breeze and sunsets' softened glow That spread enchanted beauty here below. I see the soft mist of the evening dew, Each drop a pearl, sun-kissed to rainbow hue; I love the home that lives by God's own plan Of working, sharing to build the race of man. These loves combined are like the heavenly host And stand for things of life that I love most.
