Dissemble the Disguise

Grimace at a sky blackening with ire,
You crumple your face and wince in desire.
Opening your mouth with a shattering scream,
"WHY IS THIS HATE AS DARK AS IT SEEMS?!"

Lie to yourself, pretend it's not there,
But beneth the facade is the wanting to care.

You believe you're real, not counterfeit,
Yet there's so many things you cannot admit.
You can't see that life is good,
You won't tell her all you should.
You can't feel her warm embrace,
You won't notice her tear stained face.

You push away the positive, forget about the rest.
Draw up negitivity, put patience to the test.
Make them think it's all you are, cataclysmic spite,
Never will they see the truth, never will you fight.

Hide behind your loathsome ways,
and count upon your numbered days.
It will be your death at last,
if this hate, you don't get past.
Hatred's chewing through and through,
soon the darkness will encompass you.

I see the love under your cries,
I see compassion in the lies,
I see the truth you know is there,
I see the things that MAKE YOU CARE.
I see this all through mirrored glass,
I see myself, in whole, at last.
