Hi there,

My name is Suzanne . I am a Canadian. yep a canadian .... even if I live in the only "unique" province of the country, Quebec!

Half french( my father) and half english ( my mother) I lived until I was eight in both Ontario and Nova Scotia. My mother just couldn't decide where to live. At age eight, after my mother passed away, I ended up here in Quebec not speaking a word of french ... different language, different cultures and even different religion!

Boy, what a shock! Well, I rolled up my sleeves and can proudly say that few here who meet me for the first time would ever realize I am not french ..... curious to see what I look like?? click here ...

I work in a long term health care center( you guys call it nursing home) as a RN nurse. Watching people go through life with difficulty has brought me to fully appreciate the great gifts I have .... good health, two wonderful kids ...oops ... teenagers ...almost adults now. .... (ya ... I am that old!) and a fulfilling job...... well mostly fulfilling ( that was before the health care cutbacks here in Quebec!). At work I also show the nursing staff how to use the computer program that we keep the patient files on. That is really fun! And now, since August 1999 I also act as a clinical nurse, teaching new nursing procedures. Imagine trying to explain Window's 95 's basic commands to people who pulled the plug on their kid's computers if they left it on, to shut the computer! It was worth the effort though.

Talking about my kids, let me invite you to go see my son's story on my health page , Cleft Lip and palate where you will see the particular problems related to a cleftlip and palate. My daughter you can discover through her work on her homepage.... the link is on the bottom of this page .. but I would like to share with you a funny speech she delivered at her School Public Speaking Contest this year.(that was last year..1998).Unfortunately she could not be present at the final of the Public Speaking Contest , due to the fact she choose to participate in a camp in British Columbia with the CCMRC Radisson that week..Santa Claus is dead!!

I love irc ... have made some great friends on here, dancing, reading , traveling and cooking! (well, I do enjoy a few others pleasures in life but can't reveal them all!)
