Greetings and thank you for stopping by my page about Star Trek. I have been a Trekkie since I was a kid. Unfortunately I grew up on the reruns and not the actual show but either way Star Trek had it's affect on me. Of course my mom got me started by her watching it all the time. Of course I just hated it then because she wanted to watch it and I wanted to watch something else. What I wanted to watch I have no clue but it had to be better than Star Trek. LOL Anyhow I am a loyal fan of Star trek even though I don't feel that Gene Roddenberry's dream is being portrayed as it should be. Money has become the ruling factor and in the 24th century there is no need for money, right?
Well anyhow this is my site on ST and the things I like about it.
I am a loyal fan of Voyager. My username many times over has been Chakotay. I have even dressed as him on Halloween. LOL I like the character but I think they need to build on his character a little more and maybe give him some intestinal fortitude. For a former leader of the Maquis he sure is quiet and obedient. Well, as a dedicated Trekkie I have gone to some ST conventions. Two to be exact. Will be going to my third this November I hope. My first one was a biggy. William Shatner was there and I got his autograph. I was a little disappointed in his attitude and the way he was treated like a king or something. He seemed really arrogant and it kind of upsets me to see the way he puts down his fans. I can however understand how his ego did get so big by watching some of the Trekkies drool over him. He is a man named William Shatner and not some Captain name James T. Kirk! He is not a god. He is mortal. LOL Now that I have that over I can go on. The second person I met was George Takei. He was really neat and very funny. He had some interesting stories. And you were allowed to take pictures of him while he signed autographs unlike Shatner. And after he signed his autgraph Chase Masterson was selling hers about 20 feet away. So we went and bought one and shook her hand and snapped a picture. She was scheduled to be on Sunday I think but we got lucky and got to meet her as well. I thought we would only get to see George but it was a pleasant surprise to see her there signing.
