This is how a business or a Government should be run and it is what we workers have been orientated to believe. Unfortunately the title is more true than the statement. Your Government has spent millions on what we call TQM or Total Quality Management. One thing is, they do not absorb their own teachings.

To many off you this may sound like a familiar story that may have happened to you or your company.
But this is different because this is everyone's company. The Air National Guard at Selfridge Air National Guard Base MI decided on 22 OCT 97 that it would contract out, competitive source, privatize, or reorganize it's flight line services conducted by Government civilians. This includes, Transit Aircraft Maintenance, Base Fuels and Base Operations. It should be noted that all off these functions and their employees directly contribute to Flight Safety. This action was taken under the guise of saving you the tax payer money. However when it was told to us on that dreary day, management contended it had nothing to do with saving money. The purpose of this action was strictly to get rid of Government employees.
