This is an "unofficial" website in that it has not been formally approved by the Rhode Island National Guard. However, the author is very welcoming of comments from current or former members of the 118th MP Battalion.The 118th Military Police Battalion is a unit of the Rhode Island National Guard. It is trained and prepared to perform a variety of missions in war and peace and at home and abroad.
Meritorious Unit Commendation
The 118th has recieved two Meritorious Unit Commendations and a Phillipine Presidential Unit Citation. These awards give the 118th the honor of being the most highly decorated unit in the Rhode Island National Guard.

In addition to Military Policemen, the 118th MP Battalion has openings for truck drivers, communications specialists, vehicle mechanics, clerks and other specialties as well. Call (401) 457-4366 to speak with a recruiter. Prior service personnel from any branch are always welcome. All MOS's in the 118th MP Battalion are open to women.
