USS Towers (DDG-9)

I know for certain that she was decommissioned on 1 Oct 1990
I also know for certain that she was sold on 20 June 1994,
but have no idea who bought her, but she was not bought
by a foreign navy.

The last time anyone I know saw her was a couple of years
ago when she was tied up in San Fransisco with some other
ships awaiting disposal.

My sources via the sci.military.naval newsgroup have the 
following possible outcomes:

1. One of the ships bought by a company that turns them into
   powerbarges in places like Bangledesh.

2. Razorblades

3. Still tied up somewhere waiting for who knows what
