THIS PAGE IS DEDICATED TO VETERANS,POW/MIA'S WHERE EVER THEY MAY BE.
It is time to bring our People home where they belong! In this effort I am going to try to provide you with some links to different Veterans Agencies and to different POW/MIA organizations. While visiting these sites Please leave then some Email expressing your concerns also.Lets all work harder to encourage our Government to work harder to break the barriers that are hendering this effort.
As I became more and more web wise,I noticed that the POW/MIA movement is perhaps more alive here than anywhere I have seen. So, I decided to adopt this movement as a cause to champion in some small way.I find it is a cause which needs no justification because it,in itself, is justification enough.
WE SENT THEM TO FIGHT........
HAVE WE ABANDONED THEM........?
The following is a starter list of sites that I have found that have only spurred my anger and enthusiasm at the why's and why nots of this movement.I still have many questions that probably will go unanswered about the number of POW/MIA'S that are still unaccounted for.I hope this list will inspire you as it did me. Please feel free to check back from time to time as I will be updating this list with new links periodically.

A BREIF HISTORY ABOUT MIGRAINE AND GERRYB
Migraine and GerryB are nick names for Vicki and Gerry Burris, our real names. We were married on August 30,1974, in Tulsa,Oklahoma where we met.We both grew up in the Tulsa area and went to different High Schools.I graduate from Tulsa Will Rogers and she from Nathan Hale.I was just our of the Air Force and was working for IBM Office Products Division at the time. Some 18-19 months after marrying we found ourselves adopting two children. Can you imagine the looks on our faces when we were told we might be able to adopt TWINS???Well, that's what we did!! A boy and a girl. They were born on January 20,1976 in Dallas,Tx.We named them Michael Paul and Melissa Burris and ,now that they are 21 yrs old,I couldn't be prouder of either of them if I tried. In september of 1979,I moved the family out of Tulsa to a small southern Kansas town called Independence,Ks.There I continued to work for IBM and the kids continued to grow.I also became part of an organization of police volunteers who called themselves the Independence Police Reserves (IPRU).We were a small but active unit.We worked hand-in-hand with the local police unit to assist the regular officers in routine patrol duties as well as sponcering our own charity fund raisers for different charitable events. In November of 1987 I again took another transfer with IBM to Cape Girardeau,Missouri. There we settled nicely.Since moving to Dallas three years ago,All I can say about Missouri is that we miss the hills and trees. We continused to work for IBM in Missouri until the major corporate downsizing in 1993 when they forced me to take the opportunity to join the new company,Technology Service Sollutions. When it came to light that I could not afford to work for that organization,we sold out and moved to the Dallas area where we are presently. At the present time I am working for Stream Intl.doin Windows 96 platform hw/sw technical support for the end users.GERRY'S MILITARY SERVICE
I enlisted in the United States Air Force in January of 1968.After basic training I was assigned to Keesler AFB,Biloxi,Mississippi. There I was educated in Radio Relay Equipment Repair..IE..Radio electronics. From Keesler I was assigne a permanent duty station at Andrews AFB,Suitland,Md.You've heard of Andrews AFB before,I'm sure, thats where Air Force One..the Presidents Plane,is hangared. There I was assigned as a Technician to the Communications Relay Center.I performed maintenance on the VFTG and Microwave Multiplexing equipment installed there. From Andrews,I was one of the fortunate ones.Even though I had volunteered as a Viet Nam volunteer three time...I wound up being assigned to Southern Baveria to a DCA-Europe relay site at the tom of the Zugspitze.I spent the rest of my hitch in Garmisch-Partenkirchen,Germany and returned home to Tulsa in July,1972.In 1974,I enlisted in the Army National Guard of Oklahoma in Tulas and found myself enrolling and being accepted to the OCS program. After spending one year in OCS I was graduated and commissioned a 2nd Lt. in the National Guard of Ok.I spent two years in the Guard as either a rifle platoon leader and a mortar platoon leader.I also psent one year in the army reserves civil affairs unit.My commission was pulled due to "no branch qualification" at the end of the time in grade requirement. That ended my military career.GERRY'S WORK HISTORY
I was hired by IBM Office Products Division in October 1972 in Tulsa,Okla. There I was trained as a Customer Engineer in the ins and outs of Territory Management and all technical aspects of the product line of Typewriters and Dictation Equipment. From Tulsa,I transferred to Independence,Ks.There I received further training on the IBM family of copires and more advanced Office Product Lines.I was here that I also began to get some insight as to where the world was headed in the business fields.I was from Independence that I launched my trip into thew world of Computers. As the IBM business changed,we needed to change with it.I received some crossover training and experience in small computer systems and proceeded to progress from there. In 1987,I was given a transfer to Cape Girardeau,Mo. and continued to progress there, trained on IBM SYS36,AS/400,POS SYSTEMS and whatever else IBM threw my way.I continued to work for IBM until the 1993 downsizing when they offered me the opportunity it accept the same position with the new "Technology Service Solutions Corporation" which was comprised of IBM'ers such as myself. After ten months with this company,I found there were better opportunities outside the IBM name and proceeded to persue them.In February of 1995 I found that Dallas,Texas was the place to be and that is where the wife and I had always wanted to be.So here we are.At the end of this section I will leave you a link to my Resume'. I am always open to new and exciting opportunities at this stage in my life.......GERRY'S RESUME.AND NOW A WORD FROM OUR SPONSOR
