Planned in the 50s, the F-104 is still considered an effective plane,
as it's demonstrated by his use in Italy and Belgium.
All the Italian ones have recently been updated to the ASAM version.

In 1952, while fights were having place in Korea, Lockeed planned a single seated plane that had to win over the communist block ones.
