MILITARY PAYMENT CERTIFICATE

Known as MPC, this was the currency that all U.S. servicemen where paid in while in Vietnam. It had exactly the same value as the U.S. dollar. The purpose of this was to keep U.S. currency out of the Vietnamese economy and off the black market.
