Transport Aircraft

The Messerschmitt Bf 108 made many pre-war speed records and was a very agile plane. Even the famous Bf 109 was derived directly from the design of the Bf 108. In wartime the Bf 108 served mainly as a personnel transport.
The Junkers Ju 52 was the workhorse of the Luftwaffe. It served from the beginning to the very end and in every theater of war. The Ju 52 fought in multiple roles from airliners to bombers. At least one still serves for Lufthansa today.
The Dornier Do 200 was probably the least known and noticed transport plane operated by the Luftwaffe. All the Do 200's were built in and by the United States. Had the Germans been able to mass-produce a plane like the Do 200, the war's outcome might have been different.
