My Trip to Italy

Well to begin with I recently made a trip to Italy, Wasn't really a vacation sort of speak. You

see one of our former exchange students is ill and want to see him. Not really going to say

what it is because I really believe that he would not want me to say anything.

What happened was this, knowing Marco's family didn't speak English very well so I asked

Federico Romoli to come with me. Federico was so awesome even thought he had to do

most of the translating. Had no plans of doing any kind of sightseeing of Italy, However

I did get to see some things and visit some towns like Venice, Pordonone. Milan, Recanati,

Loreto, Porto Recanati, and a few others. But I have to tell you all this. The best times

I've had was seeing Marco and Federico once again. But 4 years since I've seen Marco,

Federico was here last fall. Met Marco's Parents for the first time and have to admit

nervous on  meeting them. As for Federico's parents had a great time.  And you know

what guys? Federico's and Marco's parents are fantastic... I arrived Saturday and

Federico picked me up in Milan,Italy. Once there we caught a train to Recanati.

Federico was talkative but me I was so tired. Slept on and off all the way down there.

The first night there met Federico's parents friends and family. It was awesome.

Then we went out to meet his friends. It was so fantastic. The next day Federico

showed me some of Recanati. After a few days we went to Marco's. Have to admit I was

pretty nervous all the way up there. You see I never met Marco's parents and this was

the first time actually meeting them. Marco was in the hospital most of the time

I was there. The first day Luigi took me too see Marco in Udine. Seeing Marco has

got to be the toughest, Seeing Marco in the hospital was very difficult for me. The

words can never describe what happened that day. Hi Kev is what he said to me.

And the smile well it was so cool. Didn't plan to go sightseeing but Marco insisted that

we go to Venice and the next day we did. This city is one hell  of a city. So beautiful.

Was sure glad I went there. Marco's mom and dad are so good to me it wasn't  funny.

And I'm sure they seen the love that Marco and I and Federico all have together. Think

they were happy about that. Even though it has been a few years not seeing Marco. The

thing that got to me was I thanked Claudia for letting me come on such a short notice

and she told me  that by me coming there was the best medicine Marco could receive

and tell you this man if that didn't bring tears to my eyes nothing will ever do. Marco

got out of the hospital and we had a chance to spend some time with him. Marco did

show me some castle there, and the scenery of Northern Italy and  people it is awesome

it really is. The time we spent together was worth every minute. Had a chance to meet

Marco's family as well. And his friends as well. There was two people I wanted to see

again and that is Steffano and his sister Anna. Great seeing them again it really is.

Now I would like to take this time to say Thank You to Paula and Emilio (Federico's

Parents) and Claudia and Luigi (Marco's Parents) for everything they have done for me.

Had a great time with you all. And hopefully we will see you all next year. Again

Thank You for everything.
