Well here we go once again hosting our 17th Foreign Exchange Student. Lets see what we know about Andrea? Well pretty much nothing at all. Haven't talked to him just yet. All we know as of now is that he has his parents, and 3 brothers. Divide, Mateo, and Stefano. We also know one of Andrea passions is Basketball. Matter of fact his dad coaches basketball ball. Andrea is from a city called Malgrate, Italy. Been talking with Andrea on a regular basis now and he seems like be a really nice guy. Do know he is looking forward on coming to Fairport that is a fact.
Here it is December and Andrea is doing very well for himself. He is a Starter for our Basketball Team and I believe he is the first one out of all of our students that is a starting player in all the games. Have to admit he is very good too. Grades and his English very good at that as well.
Now here it is March and Andrea has succeeded in just about everything that be be done. Andrea while in basketball has achieved a Honorary Mention Certificate in the Chagrin Valley Athletic Conference and he also received MVP Award for playing this sport. Not only the awards Andrea received this character was elected by other coaches in our Conference to represent Fairport High Basketball Team in the Ashtabula Tribune All=Stars game. Guys, this young man has achieved so much in such a short time totally unreal. We are so proud of him not just Andrea but for everything.
Well here it is already Andrea has left to go back to Italy. Overall this year has been a great year with Andrea. But he does not have much contact with us anymore. For reasons unknown. You see Andrea only thought of himself and himself only. Sad really, I mean for a young person that only cares about themselves and to hell with everyone who really cares about him. We can understand family of course that is important and he should love them. Apparently he does not care for us and that hurts us alot. How can you stay with someone 10 months and not care? Do we care for Andrea of course we do. But apparently it is one sided and we were used and with that in mind we cut our losses. If that is the way Andrea wants to be then so be it. Hopefully time will pass and he will remember the good things and there was a lot of them here. But we still wish him the best of luck, and yes we do love that kid very much. No different than the rest of our students. Absolutely no difference. But then again we still have the rest of our students so you see 1 out of 17 isn't all that bad.
