Federico Romoli is our 8th Exchange Student and our second student from the Country of Italy. He lives in a city called Recanti, Italy not far from the coast. He enjoys Swimming, Skiing, Music, and Soccer. Federico has a brother named Francesco and of course his parents Emilio and Paola. As of now there isn't really a whole lot we can write here cause we really don't know the guy just yet. In time or as the the time comes closer were sure we will. Federico Romoli isn't due to arrive here until August. Federico arrived here last Friday and today is the first day of school. Were hoping that he takes advantage of the Sports Teams but were not sure just yet. We do know that Federico is going out for Basketball and Baseball. At least he is talking about it. His English so far has gotten a lot better since he arrived here. But he has a lot to learn. His character well people, Very outgoing and friendly. Has a sense of humor as well. The one thing we have noticed that Federico is the youngest Exchange Student we have ever had. It is no big deal really. I guess we just want him to succeed and enjoy himself.

Here it is October already and Federico has went to his first school dance called Homecoming. Apparently he had a fantastic time there. He took a young lady named Yana as his date. As of now were proud of Federico Romoli he has come along way in just a short time. Growing fond of him quite a lot. Already know that this year is going to be a great year for all of us here. Federico has just told me today that he likes it here and very happy with us. And tell you something people that is what it is all about it really is.  Well here it is October already and Federico has done absolutely nothing wrong. Federico has helped our new Student Thomas so much and sure everything will work out fine with them two. Since then he has joined the Basketball Team here and from what I understand and being told Federico is very good at that sport. Grade wise Federico is doing great. Said this many times before with the students but Michelle and I are growing to love Federico more and more each day. This kid is very special to us, people.

Federico is doing so well here that at one of the Basketball when Federico played in the students yelled FOREIGN POWER. Federico is making a lot of friends here and he is very well liked as well. Now it is December already believe that the year is almost half over with already. Tell you guys this much it is going to be so difficult to Federico leave us. This boy is accomplishing so much here and so proud of him it isn't funny.

So now it is in the end of May already. Federico Romoli went to his Senior Prom at his school and enjoyed himself a great deal. After his Prom there was the After Prom at the YMCA then the entire Senior Class went to Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio. He Loved that place a lot. Federico was our only exchange student that passed his Senior Proficiency Test and was excused from all his final exams in school. Since Federico started playing American Baseball something very funny happen to him. Just wish I was there to see it but sorry to say I wasn't. But anyway he was in the right field and a fly ball came well he went to try and catch it and got hit in the head by the ball itself. One more thing Fede has made so many friends here in Fairport but one person sticks out above the rest and her name is Christina. Such a nice girl. Well you just have to take a look at another picture page to see some of his friends.

Here it is the beginning of August and Federico has returned to Italy. He had such a good year here with us. Made so many good friends. Going home was difficult for Federico.  But in all honesty it was difficult for my wife and I as well.  Federico has accomplished so much it isn't funny.  Well back home now and everything is going very good for that guy. He even has a girlfriend named Cristina.  But what we miss most of all is the good times we had with him. All the laughing and arguing as well. NUKE EM FEDE!!! But we still talk with each other quite a bit and wouldn't change that for anything in the world. I think what I miss the most is all the times Me, Federico and Thomas went fishing together. First time they ever fished too and they liked it.  But not just that people miss the times we went to Eating Park and the best thing there is we always ordered the same thing every time we went there. Nothing changed with that.  Now that is what we call good memories.

Federico is still doing really good for himself. Federico has finished his high school year and now attending a University in Milan, Italy studying International Business. Fede did come back for a visit with us. And guys Fede has not changed what so ever. That young man is so cool. It felt so good seeing Fede again after over a year since he left us. And tell you people this too, the feelings we both have for each other are still as strong as it was then. No change between either of us.

Well June 27th of this year I made a trip to Italy and needed Federico's help. Was someone of a short notice trip really not something I've planned for over a period of time. One of our Italian Students is ill and I called Federico if he can come with me and stay with me while I was there. Guys, Federico did not hesitate not even once. This young man was awesome to say the least. He picked me up in Milan, and we went by train to his home in Recanati. There I met his family and his friends.  Even went out with them all and had a couple of beers. Seeing Federico's parents again was great. Francesco, Federico's younger brother is our next student next year.

But the help that I needed from Federico was simple. I knew that Marco's parents did not speak English very well. So communication would be a big problem between us. That is why I asked Federico to be with me. And you know what? Federico did not hesitate what so ever. He was with me everywhere I went and did whatever we did. This kid was so cool he really was. And I think it brought us even closer together. Yeah Federico learned allot while he was here but tell you this much he learned mostly about himself. Never been so proud of Federico and Federico thank you for everything.

Love you so much there Federico.
