UNIT/LOCATION: Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Studies (CFSAS), CFB Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

RANK: Captain
AFSC: T12X4Z (Qualified EWO from any major weapon system)

TOUR LENGTH: 24 months

DUTY TITLE: Electronic Warfare (EW) Instructor

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Performs teaching duties in academic topics to include operational and tactical implementation of information operations, command and control warfare, and electronic warfare in the areas of communications, radar, electro-optics, guided weapons and integrated air defense systems. Fills supervisory position as Basic and Advanced course Director and depending on CFSAS requirements could function as the Space and EW Flight commander or Chief of EW Training. Responsible for continued development of instructors and course materials, researching and preparing lectures to assigned personnel. Provides support to Canadian Forces Air Navigation School (CFANS) through instruction and software evaluation. Advises the unit’s instructional staff on United States Air Force (USAF) missions and assists in the coordinating activities with various United States (US) agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

ESSENTIAL:
a. At least one operational tour in an Electronic Warfare position.

DESIRABLE:
a. EA-6B, EC-130H, EF-111, F-15E, or RC-135 background with one or more tours as a rated instructor.
b. Completed an Information Operations/Command and Control Warfare Course and Squadron Officer School.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret.

REMARKS:  Flies periodically in CT-142 (de Havilland Dash 8) Navigator Trainer with CFANS, to maintain currency for gates.
