Some words about official US Air Force links: nice pictures; bad info.

HQ/USAF web pages seem to be maintained by pentagon "blue-suiters", rather than by people who had daily interaction with the systems and aircraft. Add in the USAF's general desire to maintain a "low profile" - particularly about operations and capabilities - and they don't "toot their own horn" much. How much of it is disinformation - rather than sloppiness or honest ignorance - is anyone's guess. Great sites if you want to read a general's biography, though !

( Wing and Base-level websites vary in quality; some very good, some not. )
