"Hi Red, This is Track 15 that was hit with 3 RPG's 4/1/70. we were third in line and I think the first to get hit. Not exactly sure on where the hits were they happened so fast, (I Think they had the RPG's on full auto) but I think one was in the rear right, one I think lower on left towards the middle which penetrated and set it on fire inside the turret. The last one was right front and if you look at the picture you will see a burn mark (white circle on flotation shield) while it did not penetrate (I would not be here if it did!!) it bounced down and just shook the track. One other note on the same flotation shield left side you will see where the gook machine gunner was trying to shoot me as I was trying to get out, lots of holes from which I received a wound to the face. Every time I tried to get out (My clothes were on fire) he tried to shoot me and every time I got back down inside I got burnt a little more. I played that game for about 20-30 seconds (Seemed like hours) before a guy by the name of Mike Tamblyn from PA. killed the dink (He was awarded the bronze star for saving my young ass) I got some 1st and 2nd degree burns and back and arms and a small burn on my neck, all of which never scarred. James Barnett was the TC he was WIA, Jim Ashley was loader no wounds, Paul Neumann was gunner WIA and I was driver WIA!! Slim"
