The word Al Momin is an
Arabic word termed for a believer who submits his will, life, family, and property for the sake of Allah. Allah has promised them the gardens of paradise. The believer loves Allah and the prophet Muhammad (S) more then anything on earth, and shows it through his actions!
Quran 9:24. Say: If your fathers, your sons, your brothers, your wives, your kindred, the wealth that you have gained, the commerce in which you fear a decline, and the dwellings in which you delight are dearer to you than Allah and His Messenger, and striving hard and fighting in His Cause, then wait until Allah brings about His Decision (torment). And Allah guides not the people who are the rebellious (disobedient to Allah).
Quran 2:207 And of mankind is he who would sell himself, seeking the Pleasure of Allah. And Allah is full of Kindness to his slaves.
The believer disconnects himself from the material and physical properties of this life so much so that the disbelievers make fun of him.
212. Beautified is the life of this world for those who disbelieve, and they mock at those who believe. But those who obey Allah's Orders and keep away from what He has forbidden, will be above them on the Day of Resurrection. And Allah gives to whom He wills without limit.
The believer has a contract with Allah, his life is a business for the sake of Allah, in return to be given the paradise and saved from the hellfire. This contract is the Quran and Sunnah. To be followed with full submission and love.
Quran 3:16-17 Those who say: "Our Lord! We have indeed believed, so forgive us our sins and save us from the punishment of the Fire." They are those who are patient ones, those who are true in Faith, and obedient with sincere devotion in worship to Allah. Those who spend (in the Way of Allah) and those who pray and beg Allah's Pardon in the last hours of the night.
Quran 3:30. On the Day when every person will be confronted with all the good he has done, and all the evil he has done, he will wish that there were a great distance between him and his evil. And Allah warns you against Himself (His Punishment) and Allah is full of Kindness to the (His repenting obedient) slaves.
31. Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind): "If you really love Allah then follow me (follow the Quran and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you of your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
32. Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Obey Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad SAW)." But if they turn away, then Allah does not like the disbelievers.
