MAKING A BOOT DISK

For WindowsTM 95

#1. Download this freeware bootdisk maker: BOOT.ZIP

#2. Format a blank disk

#3. Run the program

#4. Remove the disk

#5. Re-start your computer "Use the start button on your desktop"

#6. Pay attention to your start-up sequence, look for something like "press ctrl to boot from diskette"

#7. Press the applicable key(s)

#8. Insert disk

#9. Follow screen instructions

#10. You should be at the c:\ Prompt, type in the directory, then type in the program name…

When in doubt, use the Falcon3 boot selection, and unless the program requires access to your CD-ROM, do not select it… remember where & what your program is! It will almost always end in… .exe

NOTE! YOU WILL NOT BE IN WINDOWS! YOU WILL BE IN DOS!

It is recommended that you will be familiar with DOS
