This photo was also taken by Glenn Prentice on his 1996 visit to Khe Sanh. This area is the old ammo dump area on the east end of the base, looking east. This is the site of the ammo dump explosion on the morning of January 21, 1968. The local Bru tribesmen come here to dig up artillery and mortar rounds to sell for scrap metal.
