David is a vice president in the investment banking division at Goldman Sachs, based in the firm's Chicago office. In what can only be termed a huge understatement, he writes: "Needless to say, things are a little crazy around our household."

PROUD PAPA: SHARATH RAJA is shown here playing with his two kids, Sahitya (6 years old) and Suhas (9 months old). Sharath and his wife Nirmal are enjoying life in Princeton, where he practices ophthalmology on Harrison St. He's taking a 1 year sabbatical next year to do a vitreoretinal surgical fellowship at Johns Hopkins, where he also did his residency.
In previous issues of the PAW, I told you about two '88ers with 4 kids each, but I missed our very own Class Treasurer WENDY ADAMS MIKLUS. Anne Elisabeth Miklus was born on Jan. 12, 2000, to Wendy and husband Steve. Anne joins siblings Katie (5 years old), Matt (3 years old), and Tim (1 1/2 years old).
REUNIONS (May 25-28): We'll be guests of the Class of 1990 this year at Reunions. All '88ers who've paid their class dues can attend for free. (You can also pay your class dues at Reunions registration.) There are 4 beds available on campus for $60 each (plus key and linen deposit). If you're interested in a room on campus, e-mail me and I'll get you the details.
CLASS VPs: We're looking for volunteers who are willing to serve as regional vice presidents. The VPs will be in charge of organizing '88ers in their cities to participate in community service activities. The time commitment is minimal, and it's for a great cause. Let me know if you're interested.

SCHOLARSHIP: I recently received a very nice letter from Vijay Bhat '02, this year's recipient of the Class of 1988 Memorial Scholarship. Vijay writes: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous assistance towards my studies at Princeton. Thanks to your support, I am attending one of the most prestigious universities in the world. As a sophomore, my initial excitement and anxiety of facing up to the challenges of college life may have subsided, yet I have no trouble finding areas that rouse my interest and curiosity. I have decided to major in Computer Science in the BSE track." Vijay is also the recipient of the Pyka Prize for outstanding achievement in the Physics 105 and 106 courses.
The class officers would like to thank everyone who has supported the scholarship fund over the past decade. Contributions can be sent to the address above or included with your class dues.

VIVA LAS VEGAS: Andres Martinez, the husband of KATHY (HALL) MARTINEZ, has written a book titled, "24/7: Living it Up and Doubling Down in the New Las Vegas." The book traces Andres' month-long journey in Las Vegas as he gambles away his $50,000 book advance. Along the way, Andres spends time with some of the people who make the city so unique. The New York Times has called the book "a good-hearted, perceptive and funny account of a month spent risking the nest egg." When Kathy is not busy accompanying her husband to Vegas, she's the deputy director of the international program at the Center for Reproductive Law and Policy, a NY-based, legal and policy advocacy organization which promotes women's reproductive rights. Kathy writes that she's traveled to Vegas "far more than I could have imagined for an entire lifetime." Andres is hard at work on a novel and another non-fiction book."
