Welcome TO My World |
Greetings, I am your host.I was a member of the 1st of the 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment from 1989 to 1992, while stationed down in Arkansas. During my time with the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) I was assigned to A (Alpha) Company of 1/509th (a Line Company) and then later to the Headquarters Company (HHC) as a member of the Scout Platoon. After I left Arkansas, I went to Korea to a small Unit known as "CP TANGO" or the Tactical Air Naval Ground Operations Command Post. I was in Korea from 1992 to 1993. I ended my time on active duty (ETS) from Korea and joined the National Guard with a Unit called the 104th LRS DET or 104th Long Range Surveillance Detachment.I took a break in my Military career in 1995, when I got a job that paid alot better but left me with very little spare time. After 3 years, I finally got back into a Mechanized Infantry Unit. So the sage continues....
I underwent an MOS change and am now a Cavalry Scout (19D) with a Brigade Reconnaissance Troop. In January 2005, I was involuntarily transferred back to a Mechanized Infantry Unit and deployed to Iraq in 2005 through 2006.Upon completion of my tour, I was returned back to my Unit (which deactivated) and I was tranferred (again) back into a Mechanized Infantry Unit
