Welcome TO My World

Greetings, I am your host.

Matos and me prior to insertion at JRTC (FT Chaffee)

I was a member of the 1st of the 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment from 1989 to 1992, while stationed down in Arkansas. During my time with the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) I was assigned to A (Alpha) Company of 1/509th (a Line Company) and then later to the Headquarters Company (HHC) as a member of the Scout Platoon.

After I left Arkansas, I went to Korea to a small Unit known as "CP TANGO" or the Tactical Air Naval Ground Operations Command Post. I was in Korea from 1992 to 1993. I ended my time on active duty (ETS) from Korea and joined the National Guard with a Unit called the 104th LRS DET or 104th Long Range Surveillance Detachment.

I took a break in my Military career in 1995, when I got a job that paid alot better but left me with very little spare time. After 3 years, I finally got back into a Mechanized Infantry Unit. So the sage continues....

I underwent an MOS change and am now a Cavalry Scout (19D) with a Brigade Reconnaissance Troop.

In January 2005, I was involuntarily transferred back to a Mechanized Infantry Unit and deployed to Iraq in 2005 through 2006.

Upon completion of my tour, I was returned back to my Unit (which deactivated) and I was tranferred (again) back into a Mechanized Infantry Unit

French Commando Badge

This is the badge (or as close a copy as I can create) that I earned when I went to French Commando School on the Island of Martinique (French West Indies) during January and February of 1995. "Running, Running, Always Running."

Sgt Tidwell and me after the obstacle course (Nautical Phase)

No one can forget the Mangrove Swamp Obstacle Course. Literally, covered with mud from head to toe!!!!
