Jesus, Oh Lord, Guide me Home
As stars of Bethleham once that be.
Bless this Day and make me whole,
Hide the memory.
Grant one wish to ease my pain
one wish, then that is all
Bless each family this Christ that's risen,
The names that touch the 'Wall'.
Give them Peace, so heavenly wrapped
They're bows of tears still flow,
Let them see the beauty here,
to live so as I know.
Give my Grandsons the chance ...Oh Lord
to grow into strong men.
And erase the depridation of War
Never to wage again.
Guide all lives with the Star of David
Beloved is that call,
Hold all close unto your heart
No matter is ever too small.
Walk with me now, OH...my Lord
lest I should stumble from Grace.
Let me help others who's pain is great,
with days again to face.
If my eyes become clouded over
and sleepless nights that come
Rise me up , to join Your Army
On streets of Gold I'll run.
But just for now, grant me this wish
That another can find the way.
And let me be your Corporal Sir,
that's all I wish today.
Oh...Lord Jesus,
Guide me Home
As stars of Bethleham be.
Bless this Day, and make me whole,
Hide the memory.
Why the bells? And why the lights?
That mock these blustery winter nights?
Why the song and why the cheer,
In this, the darkest time of year?
Was it angels from above
That brought this song of peace and love?
Was it God's own Son who came,
His Father's mercy to proclaim?
And was He born and did He die,
For such as you, and such as I?
And have they told his story true,
And can a man be born anew?
And did He say "Who-so-ever will"?
And, do you think He means it still?
By what King and from what throne,
Was such peerless mercy shown?
Was this our Savior drawing near,
To ease our pain and calm our fear?
And was He born, and did He die ...
For such as you ... and such as I?
Then ... Why the bells? And, why the lights?
On this ... and not on all the nights?
