Question??????
Who ended up with the plaque that was mounted on the wall at the bottom of the mess hall ladder? If you recall, it contained all the names of the original crews. It was supposed to be awarded to the last person from the commissioning crew to leave the ship.
THE ANSWER IS IN!!!!!Compliments of Greg Schramm
Hi Chris,
I was attached to the Big John from October 88-July 92 (decon). When we decommissioned the boat in Bremerton, one of the Chiefs (of course) snagged the painting. I
can't remember who it was, but there you have it.
Ciao,
Greg

Drawn and submitted by Kelly R. Smith
Note from Kelly:. I do have the original drawing that was used for the final years of the active service of Big John Marshall the Largest Fast Attack that served the Navy. Let me know if you want all the versions. I drew three, and one was selected so, my leagacy lives on with those who served her last.
Another drawing (extra large) from Kelly
