Nancy Thompson, a teenage girl whose dreams are being plagued (and whose friends are being killed) by a hideous creature
known as Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund). Turns out Freddy was a child killer acquitted on a technicality, and roasted alive in
his boiler room by a mob of irate parents. He's back and visiting the sins of the parents on the children, read Nancy and her
friends, including her boyfriend, Glen (Johnny Depp in his first role). Nancy learns how to get rid of Freddy and succeeds, but not
before he kills three of her friends and her mother (Ronee Blakley) through their dreams.
A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge [1985]
Freddy (Robert Englund) is back and he's recruiting help. Mark Patton plays Jesse Walsh, a young man who's not worried for his
life, but for his soul and sanity. Freddy's in his dreams trying to take Jesse's body for his own. Jesse doesn't have a clue what's going on.
A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors [1987]
Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp of Nightmare 1 is a young grad student in Psychology, returning to put an end to
Freddy's evil and train the young inmates in the use of their "dream powers," special talents they can only use in their dreams. But
Freddy, as always, has other plans.
A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master [1988]
Freddy (as always, Robert Englund) is back (again). He quickly dispatches the three survivors of Nightmare 3. It seems that Alice
(Lisa Wilcox), a friend of one of the Nightmare 3 survivors, Kristen (Patricia Arquette in 3, Tuesday Knight in 4), has the ability to
absorb people's dream powers when they die. Freddy starts using Alice to get to her friends until Alice finally blasts him out of the
water with her accumulated dream abilities.
A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child [1989]
Alice is pregnant by Dan (Danny Hassel), her co survivor of Nighmare 4. Dan dies at the hands of Freddy early in the movie,
leaving Alice to deal with the demonic dream master and save her friends from his clutches. As her friends die, Alice realizes that
Freddy is somehow using her child to get his claws on people. Alice must save her child and herself and most of all, Freddy must
not win.
Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare [19??]
In part six of the Nightmare on Elm Street series, dream monster Freddy Krueger has finally killed all the children of his
hometown, and seeks to escape its confines to hunt fresh prey. To this end, he recruits the aid of his (previously unmentioned)
daughter. However, she discovers the demonic origin of her father's powers and meets Dad head-on in a final showdown.
