I checked out the boat. On our way to the beach we would stop by the pier and pick up beer, watermelons and of course, girls. We took the deck boards out of the boat and towed them behind to ride on. We did this for a couple of Sundays.
On the other side of the island we discovered rows of bamboo poles. One of us dived down and found it was a pearl farm. They took a bucket down and brought up some oysters. The Harbor caught us but one guy was able to hide the pearls.
I think it was the third time that we went out that we stayed late and it started getting dark so we headed back in. The damn boat broke down and we were adrift. Flagged down a boat from another ship and they took us in tow. When we came along side to be hoisted aboard we hid the girls in back of the engine with the life jackets.
We were hoisted up to the deck level and I told them to leave us there as we want to drain the boat. Then went down to berthing and were trying to figure out a way to get the girls off the ship. We went to the boat, got the girls and hid them in the bos'n locker.
After a hour or so I went to the qtr deck to see who was on duty. It was Ltjg Obrien. I said Mr Obrien I have a problem. His reply was, 'what is it'? I told him that I needed the liberty boat to take some women back to shore. He became VERY excited and said 'GET THEM OFF THE SHIP'. He repeated himself about three times. I said 'what the hell do you think I want the boat for'?
I suggested he go below for a cup of coffee. We brought the girls to Qtr deck, loaded them in the boat and took them ashore.
The next day the leading seaman was checking out tool scrapers, wire brushes and etc, when he made the comment these tools are wet. I guess one or more of the girls had to relieve herself while they were waiting.
One thing we wanted to make sure of, we did not want to go to sea with female guests as we did on the first cruise.
