Hand-to-hand combat is serious training. When conducting Ranger operations and discharging a round is not a feasible option, it is important that the Ranger is proficient in hand-to-hand combat. The Ranger must be confident in his/her ability to use their hands to take out an enemy. The Bama Rangers train on hand-to-hand once or twice per year.
