State - POW/MIA
Background

Backgrounds for all states are available from the links below. Please place this image at the bottom of your "honor" page to your adopted hero so others will know where to find their own hero's state background. Please link the image to:

Save the image to your own harddrive, copy and paste this code into your file and be sure to upload both of them to your server. Please do not link from here.

NOTE:   Be sure to include BORDER="0" in the image tag (see images above) if you do not want the image to have a link border around it. The link border will show up in whatever color you have your links set to, in my case blue as seen in the email and other links below.

Please email me if you are using a background on your site so I can stop by and take a look. Click here to email ---> Rosebud
If you are using WebTV, please email me, depending on the unit you are using, you may need a different graphic.

If you are developing a site dedicated to "ALL" of your state's missing heros, please let me know so that I can include a link to your site from my State POW/MIA links page.

WHY IS THIS BACKGROUND BLACK?

I consider each and every day that our Heros are missing a "BLACK" day in our country's history.

Simple "HOW TO" instructions for using this border design background and keeping the text centered and OFF the border. Here is the html coding for your page that will keep your text/images centered no matter what resolution your visitor is using and will keep the text off of the border. Immediately after your beginning body tag, copy and insert the following tags.

TABLE EXPLAINATION:
The first table set at a width of "100%" allows for any resolution your visitors might be viewing your page with. This encloses your entire page.

The second table's width is set to "600". This is for those still using smaller monitors with their resolution set at 640 X 480. Two things to notice here, this table has been centered and each <TD> tag has a WIDTH set.

The first <TD WIDTH="110"> is set to enclose the border design. (Don't change this number, I have set this from the exact pixels that the design uses so on the smallest resolution, the text will be just at the edge of the border.)

AFTER the last <TD WIDTH="490"> is where you put your text and other images. Just don't use any images that are wider than 490 or you will end up with a scroll bar across the bottom of you page. The whole idea behind using the tables like this is to keep your pages within any resolution border without your visitors have to scroll back and forth across your pages to read the text or view images. Nothing will make a visitor leave faster that encountering pages that load way to slow and pages with scroll bars on the bottom.

Inside this box is the 1spacer.gif image you see used in the tag above. This is a transparent image I made for use in border designs. Please SAVE THIS TO YOUR OWN HARDDRIVE and be sure to upload it with any files you use it in. This little image also works great if you need a space between two words or other images, like to separate your Sign/View Guestbook Images. You can set its WIDTH and HEIGHT attributes to whatever you want.

Immediately before your ending </body> and </html> tags, ( this is at the very end of your file) insert the following tags:
BE SURE TO USE BOTH .... YOU ARE CLOSING TWO TABLES.

Click on your state to retrieve your background. Be sure to save it to your own harddrive and do not link it directly from here.
