During 1986 the first of 3 Eurocopter AS-332B Super Puma entered service in the Argentinian Army.

Today they are in service with the Grupo de Helicópteros de Asalto 601 where they perform the transport role in company of the remaining SA-330L and UH-1H.

During the sumer, some of the Super Puma are detached to the ARA Almirante Izar (Q-42) in support of the Army Antarctic operations.

Some reports state that the exact model is AS-332M instead of the AS-332B model. Confirmation of the exact model is sought.
