Right now I am in Oahu, Hawaii working in a magnificent pink hospital (Tripler Medical Center) in the capital of Hawaii,
Honolulu. I am here for five years as a part of my Radiology residency.
Oahu is one of several islands that make up the state of Hawaii. You can find many photographs of the islands by going to my picture gallery below

My Medical School

I graduated from Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences (USU), School of Medicine.  It is located in Bethesda, Maryland on the grounds of the National Naval Medical Center.  USU is a military medical school.  Medical students are all active duty officers representing Army, Navy, and Air Force services.  To apply to USU Medical School one does not need to be in a military.  There is no tuition to pay, the books and the rest of the required equipment is issued to us at the beginning of each year.  As an officer in the military you are required to pass a physical test twice a year and attend couple of courses including Officer's Basic Training.  Each service (Navy, Army or Air Force) is different and has its own agenda and requirements.  In return you get a very good salary as an officer.  It is a great deal, especially for a medical school.

On the very philosophical note I would like to share with you two remarkable stories (two links below).  I refer to them every now and then to remind myself how important it is not to take our lives for granted and that consequences of our actions are at times unpredictable.
