I started my active duty in an amoured-artillery-battalion(M 109) as surveyor-artillerieman
in july 1979. After finishing the nco-course, I was responsible for
the surveying in my battery until my discharge in june 1981. Up to end of 1982 I staid in the battalion
as reserve soldier on the alert.
In 1983 I changed the battalion and became surveyor-nco in the mortar-company of a light-infantry-battalion (Unimog-2to), later observer-nco. Since 1985 I regulary trained in reserve-exercises. In 1996 I changed to an amoured-infantry-battalion (Marder). Today I am observer-sergeant, NBC-defence-sergeant and CoHQ-sergeant in the reserve-company.
Companionship of reservesoldier(RK):
I am a member of the RK Neu Wulmstorf in the
Reserve-Group of the German Armed Forces. With like-minded friends I spent
a part of my freetime with social (bowling, tours)
and military (shooting, crosscountrymarching)
activities. We have connection to finish reservesoldiers and want to visit them in 2001.
Militaria:
I have a little collection of pieces of the german army
since 1979 and baretts.
