Timothy Roberts, Sheriff Dallas Winchester, Chief Deputy Our goal with this home page is to provide citizens the chance to see how their Sheriff's Department operates, to allow them the chance to contact us and to meet the members of the Sheriff's Department. We also hope to have other departments contact us and share information. We have added a lot to the page since we first started on August 25, 1997. A few of the members have begun their own home pages, which we hope to add links to, when they feel they are ready. There is a lot more work to be done on this, so please check back often as we change and add. We feel that the department is only as good as the people who work there, and we are trying to let each member express them selves in these pages. These pages are like an Easter Egg Hunt, look around, you will never know what you may find. Thanks for stopping by and please enjoy and come back! The department has also used the internet to help it in its job. Deputy Cox has used it to obtain stats and information on intoxicated drivers for his involvement with MADD. Detective Sergeant Shrider has been obtaining information on criminal profiles, the Probation Department has asked for our help in obtaining stats on juvenile crimes and the Detective Bureau has used it on two cases, one involving a button left behind at a crime scene, the internet was used to trace the button to the manufactors, and a credit card that was stolen and used over the net, detectives was able to track down the areas it was used.
