Deputy Monce joined the Sheriff's Department in 1993 as a Wabash County Reserve Officer and then he was hired as Deputy in 1994. Deputy Monce served in the US Army and is a veteran of Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
Deputy Monce has recieved training in S.W.A.T., hostage negotiation with the FBI, drug interdiction and accident investigation. He attended the Indiana Law Enforcement Police Academy and has attended several schools and courses.
Deputy Monce is assigned to third shift (12 to 8AM) and is assigned to road patrol. He is the county's "nightwatchman" as he checks our towns and businesses as well as patrolling areas where people tend to gather at night. He is the department's ( along with Deputy Cox) accident reconstructionist. He has a great interest in drug enforcement and makes several siezures of drugs while on patrol.
Deputy Monce is married to Tami (dispatcher for the Sheriff's Department) and he has two children and two step-children. He, and Tami, serves as ground manager for a large Wabash County area campground.
Deputy Monce enjoys trap shooting, hunting and cooking. He and his wife also enjoys traveling and seeing other cities.
