19 Wing Transportation is an integral part of the Logistics organization at 19 Wing Comox. Our flight is made up of:
Air Movements Section
General Purpose Vehicle Section,
Special Purpose Vehicle Section (comprised of refuelling
and heavy equipment),
MSE Safety, and
the Marine Section
Of course the administration and leadership of these areas is also included. We are commanded by Captain Raby, the Wing Transportation Officer.

During the period of winter 96-97, we were confronted with the worst snowstorm in 70 years. We all pulled together and worked with the Snow and Ice Control team at Heavy Equipment and managed to be the only airfield in the Pacific Northwest that was at no time closed to air traffic. As a result of this, we were proud to have been awarded the Wing Commander's Commendation.
