WHAT WERE YOUR
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
AT PRAB:
The initial setup and maintenance of the Base Munitions Accountability Record;
establishment and operation of the Munitions Storage Area; and the ability to
meet scheduled aircraft operational munitions needs without delay.
YOUR BEST MEMORIES
OF PRAB:
1.The friends I met and the camaraderie we established;
2.Daily trips to the beach coordinating inbound munitions
shipments with the Army (and my daily swim);
3.Evening movies at the "white elephant" warehouse
bubble and drinking beer at the Officers Club;
4.Playing cards with the "Docs" in the dispensary; and
5.Thanksgiving Day 1966 when I left PRAB for Saigon and home.

IN COUNTRY AND WHY:
This picture reflects the camaraderie of a group of
young officers who lived together for a year under
the harsh conditions of dust, dirt, and mud while
an Air Force installation was initially under early
construction in a combat zone. Instead of sitting out
on a grassy lawn in the evening shooting the bull and
discussing life, we sat in the dirt. Life was good.
WHAT AM I DOING NOW?
I retired from Air Force active duty in 1984 at Eglin AFB,
Florida. I then retired from my second career with the U.S.
Strategic Petroleum Reserve in New Orleans in April 2003
and now live in the Dayton, Ohio area. I am enjoying retired
life. I am active in the National Society Sons of the
American Revolution; and volunteer several days each week
at the National Museum of the United States Air Force at
Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. This latter interest has enabled
me to meet people from all over the United State and the world.
