COMMUNITY SERVICE TRADITION FOR THE 16TH YEAR

At the May membership meeting, Len Ignatowski, Chapter President, presented a $1000 check for the Arlington County Public Schools special summer school program scholarship for the English as the Second Language High Intensity Language Training program to Ms. Bonnie Loriz, a HILT teacher.

CHAPTER SUPPORTS LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL THESPIANS

Chapter members attend a local high school theater production of "A Piece of My Heart", which describes the Vietnam War experience of six women who served as military personnel and civilians. Cathie Solmonson, chapter member and an Army nurse, served as a technical advisor to the students. Cathie is wearing the white scarf in the front row.

John Gibbs

Paul and Cyndy Stancliff, chapter members, host John Gibbs, an Australian Vietnam veteran, for his Veterans Day and Memorial Day visits to Washington D.C.. John is attempting to make it three years in a row.
