We are Pick and Anna in Wakefield, Virginia. We belong to VVA Colonial Chapter 433 and Hampton Roads Harley Owners Group. We have been active in the VVA and the POW/MIA issue for over twelve years. We are also proud to have been able to help the Last Patrol as they walked through Virginia during May 1997. We formed a new chapter of Rolling Thunder Inc. here in eastern Virginia three years ago. Chapter 2 Virginia do alot of work on the POW/MIA issues as well as Veteran issues.

We have three adult children and three grandchild. Our oldest son is the one that made Pick a grandfather before he turned 42. Poor guy, him and his wife came to see us to tell us the news and Pick got to talking about not making him a grandfather before he was 50, well needless to say they hightailed it back home (30 miles away) and called on phone to let us know. We still talk about that and it has been nine years ago now. We now have a grandson from the same son who just turned one in May 2002. Problem is they live in Oregon.

Our daughter is the next in line, she has the love of her life but no plans for marriage or kids yet.

Our youngest son was a world traveler, he is now 26 and married an Austrian girl in 2001. And is living in Austria. He plays drums, teaches English, goes to school and at present working as a temp for IBM. He started playing drums at the age of nine. By the time he was 13 he was playing clubs with his own band. He has been on tour in Europe and the US and is signed on to a label that is pressing his very own CD. He has been an extra in various movies, i.e. Pleasantville, Primary Colors, My Giant, etc. He is a poet as well and has been published in several poetry books including the Who's Who in Poets and Poetry.
