So what ever became of Roskopf Miniatur Modelle?
The ROSKOPF company was purchased in 1992 by a company called Siku in Germany . I heard reports of this from a variety of sources, and one source suggested that it was Wiking that purchased Roskopf. In my attempt to find out the actual story, I contacted Wiking. It was then that I learned that Wiking themselves had been purchased by Siku, also known as Sieper Werke GmbH. I e-mailed Siku about Roskopf, and asked if they (Roskopf) had also been purchased.
The e-mail I received from Mr. D. Engel confirmed that they had indeed purchased Roskopf, and were continuing production of the Nostalgia-Series of classic cars and airplanes. To my disappointment, Mr. Engel also confirmed their decision to discontinue the Miniatur Modelle line of military miniatures. The e-mail I received follows:

Thank you for your eMail addressed to our associated company Wiking Modellbau. It is not planned to re-introduce the Roskopf Line of Military vehicles but we suggest you contact the following U.S. distributor who has had a large stock of 1:87 Roskopf military models in the past.
